Psalm 51:7 "Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow." NLT
Dearest Lord,
During the night, You sent a beautiful blanket of snow to Lynchburg
VA. Some grumble about it, but in reality, I like it (unless I have to
shovel a lot of it). I love for of what the snow it reminds me. Before
it snowed, everything, except a few brave crocus and daffodils and the
evergreens, was brown and dead looking. That reminds me of what I was
in my soul before You came to live in me and changed me.
Now when I look out, everything is covered with pure and beautiful white snow.
Just like me, the ground still looks the same underneath. I still have
my sin nature, but You have covered my sin and washed me whiter than
snow. Without snow, the sun has nothing much of beauty to reflect off.
However; even in the early dawn this morning, it was bright outside
because Your light shown off the white surface. So it is with me. You
are the one who brought light and brightness into my soul and life and
it is Your glory that shines through me not my own.
Psalm 139:23-24 "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life" NLT
